Our Top 5 Cape Coral Restaurants

cape coral restaurants

We just got back from our travels in Florida about 2 weeks ago, however, as I’m writing this I’m sitting in a hotel in Orlando! A last minute fluke that my boss couldn’t make a conference out here, so she sent me back to Orlando where we just were. Send me to Florida anytime, I don’t mind.

When I was here a few weeks ago, I was with Shane and my parents and we spent a few days in Disney World and then traveled a few hours South West to Cape Coral. My parents have a house on the canal in Cape Coral and it is just breathtaking.

As with any vacation, we eat out…a lot. To come to find that there are a lot of good restaurants in Cape Coral. It’s actually been an up and coming area for foodies compared to it’s neighbor, Fort Myers. In this post, I’m going to touch base on just a few Cape Coral restaurants that we’ve labeled our favorites of Cape Coral, Florida.

5.) Annie’s Restaurant

The countdown begins with Annie’s Restaurant. Annie’s is a small local diner with an old time vibe offering a delicious breakfast for a cheap price. Their food is delectable and their portion sizes are enormous. Their pancakes are the size of a small place mat, so be ready!

4.) South Cape Diner

South Cape Diner is another little gem in Cape Coral on the main strip. We’ve only went for their breakfast, but they have a large selection of lunch and dinner options as well. If their lunch and dinner is as good as their breakfast, I’m sure we are missing out! Their prices are pretty reasonable and their portion sizes are ginormous. We usually walk out of there feeling way too full. My favorite breakfast menu item is the buckwheat pancakes paired with the egg whites!

3.) Pinchers

If you’re looking for seafood, Pinchers is it! This fun bar restaurant is located in the heart of a resort. Don’t worry, you can get in to the resort without a pass to enjoy their restaurants. For Florida seafood, their prices aren’t bad and you have the option to pick out certain fish and lobster in their enclosed cases as you walk in. They also have more than seafood (good for me) and I can say their tacos were amazing! Also, they have two for one drinks which include their wine, beer, and margaritas. Two margaritas for the price of one, there’s plenty to go around!

2.) Cork Soakers

Cork Soakers is a fun place in Cape Coral that I don’t think we would have found if it wasn’t for my searching for holes in the wall via Google. When we travel, we love finding unique finds such as this place. Cork Soakers is located on the corner of SE 47th Terrace and SE 8th Court and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Their outdoor patio is a fun time with their outdoor bar. Cork Soakers menu changes often with fresh and unique pairings that you won’t find anywhere else. Their chef is very talented and we enjoyed sampling all the different unique cuisine that they have to offer. We started with their Mac and Cheese bites and the rest of the family had their Eggs Diablo. Their deviled eggs are something that always changes on the menu. The night we went, the deviled eggs that were featured were spinach. For dinner, I had to try their Bacon & Brie Sandwich. It was too die for with their fight jam smothered on top!

1.) Ford’s Garage

My all time favorite Cape Coral restaurants must be Ford’s Garage. Our first trip together to Cape Coral was one of our crazy road trips in my Mustang. It broke down when we got there and we had to get it fixed at a shop across the street. As soon as we got it back from the shop, we drove it down to Ford’s Garage for some dinner. Being a Ford fan, this is my all time favorite experience. When you pull in to the parking lot, you can hear the ding of the bell like pulling in to an old gas station. You walk in and there’s a replica of one of Henry Ford’s Model T’s hanging over the bar. The bathroom sinks resemble gas pumps and their menu features mechanic and car inspired names. My favorite burger on their menu is the T-Bird.

My commiserations re Annie”s passing, Pete. As per the heading, Annie looks like she was a wonderful dog. I know how you”re feeling as my wife and I have had to farewell three much-loved cats in the past five years.

Great post! We’ve eaten at a few of them; Annies and Fords and yeah Fords is awesome. We don’t live to far from Cape Coral so I’ll have to be sure to make a note of the other ones in case we’re in the area.

Oh my gosh that hamburger is so cool. I think I want my own little branding iron to do that to my hamburgers. My kids would think I am a dork but it just makes the burger look all the more yummy!

First of all ~ oh, my goodness! We were probably at the Disney Parks at the same time – lol. Second, I think we’re getting a Ford’s Garage nearby and I can’t wait to try it out. Third, I am loving the idea of the postcard club!!

I travel a lot in the US and my 1st thought was where is Cape Coral? Loved reading about the Ford’s Garage. We are going to visit Florida this summer. We will locate Cape Coral. Thanks for the review.

South Cape Diner is a small family-owned breakfast and lunch restaurant with above-average food and service. Parking in front is limited, but parking in back, in what locals call ‘Big John’s’ parking lot is huge.

My husband and I go for late breakfast, although their burgers are so good that I usually just have a bacon cheeseburger while she has eggs and their well known (among the locals) traditional Midwest breakfast.

It closes around 2, I believe, but they tell me they are considering staying open for early dinners.

It is not fancy, but prices are reasonable, and the food and service are just fine.
